Hello mate.. have a look at myers brigg personality testing. I have done it and it's really interesting when you find out which personality type you fall into. It doesn't change your personality obviously but if you understand the way your personality works its easier to notice when your acting a certain way based on personality traits and you can change the way you think/deal with things.

Basically if you understand why you do things it's easier to adjust them

I think you're expecting too much from yourself.Are you using Pokertracker yet? I've no idea how many hands you've played over the last 15-17 days but if you're up even $1.5k overall,I'd say that probably equates to a damn decent bb/hr rate.

Work out your hourly rate and if you play 5 hours then try and see yourself as having won 5 * that hourly rate.Doesn't matter if you actually won or lost the session.

Get a sub with cardrunners or one of the better training sites too.Watching fellow pros play and giving their thoughts can only make you an even better player imo.
